What an assessment includes

Why it matters as your first step
Many homeowners spend money on backwater valves or sump pumps without understanding their actual flood risk. A plumbing assessment identifies exactly what your home needs — saving you from installing wrong-sized equipment or missing a critical issue.
At 80% subsidy, the assessment is essentially $80 out of pocket for $400 of professional inspection.
Important contractor note
T85 Building Renovator licence does NOT qualify to perform the home plumbing assessment. The assessment must be done by a licensed plumber — typically T94 Plumbing Contractor, T92 Plumbing and Heating Contractor, or similar.
