No energy assessment needed. Work with a registered contractor. Quick and simple.

Bundled Path

Up to $7,700

Combine 2+ upgrades from the assessment list (insulation + air sealing, windows, heat pump water heater — a heat pump does not count). Requires pre/post energy assessment.

Assessment visits typically cost ~$900 + HST at market rates; the $600 rebate arrives after program completion — budget ≈$400 net for the visits (confirmed Aug 2026).

⭐ Best value — most homeowners save more

Income-qualified + Enbridge Gas customer? Check the FREE path first. Enbridge's Home Winterproofing Program installs wall, attic or basement insulation, draft proofing and a smart thermostat at no cost for income-eligible households (renters qualify with landlord permission — income limits from $48,220 for one person to $127,576 for 7+). Worth confirming before paying for the assessment path: enbridgegas.com — Home Winterproofing (verified Aug 16, 2026).

Insulation Areas Covered

The program covers insulation for all areas of your home: attic, exterior walls, basement walls, crawlspace, exposed floors, and cathedral ceilings. Your energy advisor will recommend which areas need the most improvement based on your pre-retrofit assessment.

Pro tip: Adding air sealing ($250 rebate) to your insulation project unlocks the bundled path AND makes your insulation 30-40% more effective. Most contractors recommend doing both together.
